Final Grade: C

Needless to say, I didn't like this album.  It was arrogant for all of the wrong reasons, without the lyrics or beats to back it up.  I wish he hadn't ruined "Black Skinhead" for me when he paired it with images of men in KKK hoods on the jumbotron at his concert, because I would actually like that song otherwise.  Now I just get a bad taste in my mouth when I hear it.  The last song, "Bound 2" is pretty good too, but that's about as far as I go with this one.  I don't find this album visionary, I don't think he's starting some new big thing (as I'm sure he believes he has).  The beats were loud, cluttered, and lacking of substance.  Where the fuck am I supposed to listen to this album, anyway?  I don't see how this fits contextually into any setting of my life.  That being said, I'm sure some people find this album dope, but I just cannot get past all the narcissism that is seeping through the entire album.  At least old Kanye arrogance had the material to back it up!
